I'm pretty excited about the new EV project. I'm going to build a LP640 roadster kit car using a Porsche 924 chassis. The Porsche chassis should provide the handling and preformance I'm looking to achieve. I picked the donor car up in the area so we are recylcing an older vehicle and all parts removed will also be recylced.

Stretching the chassis will be required. The current wheelbase for the Porsche is 96" and we need the wheelbase to be 104".. This build will have more metal work to lighten the chassis of unneeded metal and weight.

Ingentance for the build:

• 1- Porsche 924 donor vehicle
• 1- LP640 Body from Mike Vetter aka KitCarMike.com
• 48 - Lithium 120 - 200 ah batteries
• 1 - higher end Controler. EVnetics or WarP
• 1 - 9" WarP motor
• 1 - MiMod EV System from EV Instruments.com
• Small items like wiring, relay, turn signals, headlights, racing seats and lots more...

To build EV's like this it takes friends and family a good project plan and lot's of love. This will make the second such EV I'm building. The first one turned out fantastic! So we thought we would give it another shot and with the knowledge we have from the last build we are hoping to make this EV even better if that's possible...

We are currently in the tear down stages of the project. This part is all about the chassis and getting it to go from a wheelbase of 96" to 104" and and removing all the unneeded parts and excess items that a EV doesn't need.
